Designs compared
All four designs work in crossflow and keep the air or gas streams separated. They differ in how they are installed and which temperatures they withstand.
| Design | AEC-100 Insert block | AEC-200 Bypass with damper | AEC-300 Gas-tight welded | AEC-400 Flange frame |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Plate pack without casing for installation in air handling units. Material and plate spacing matched to your process. | Insert block with integrated bypass. The louvre damper routes the air through the plate pack or past it. | Fully welded and without seals: for very high temperatures and processes in which the gas streams must not mix. | The plate pack sits in a surrounding frame and is flanged directly to the ducts of both air paths. |
| Material | Aluminium, coated aluminium, stainless steel, plastic | Block as insert block, damper in aluminium, for corrosive air in stainless steel or plastic | Stainless steel, grade matched to the medium | Aluminium, coated aluminium, stainless steel or plastic |
