Applications

Exhaust gas cleaning with thermal or catalytic oxidation

In thermal and catalytic oxidisers, a stainless steel plate heat exchanger preheats the cold raw gas with the heat of the hot clean gas.

Plants that break down solvents or odours by oxidation have to bring the raw gas up to reaction temperature. A stainless steel plate heat exchanger transfers the heat of the hot clean gas to the cold raw gas before it enters the burner or catalyst. The heater then only covers the remaining gap.

Temperature and material

The configurator accepts process gases up to 600 °C; our team sizes such enquiries by hand. If your clean gas is hotter than that, talk to us: there is a fully welded stainless steel version for this.

Sealed gas paths

The welded version is also the right choice where even a small leak would let untreated raw gas bypass the cleaning stage.

Frequently asked questions

Up to what temperature?

The configurator accepts process gases up to 600 °C; our team sizes such enquiries by hand. If your clean gas is hotter, there is the fully welded stainless steel version.

Why does tightness matter so much here?

Even a small leak would let untreated raw gas bypass the cleaning stage. The welded version keeps the gas paths permanently separated.
